This 18-hole par 71 golf course has been involved in a recent and intense renovation work that maximized its spectacularity. A paradise for playing this sport and for relaxing the mind, getting lost in the expanses of the greenery.

Designed by architects Vincenzo and David Mezzacane, president of the Italian Association of Golf Courses Architects, the course at Borgo di Luce I Monasteri offers an exciting and beautiful game. That’s also why it is a landmark in Sicily and home to important international competitions.

Il Picciolo Golf Club

In an unrivalled location, the Il Picciolo Golf Club course is the first 18-hole, 72-par course built in Sicily on the slopes of Mount Etna, on hilly terrain with technical obstacles to great effect, the course appears entirely natural. 

Developed in 1989 by the renowned architect Luigi Rota Caremoli, the only architect in Italy to be a member of the Association of British Golf Course Architects, this superb course with holes fashioned from the characteristic lava stone of Mount Etna, covers 5,870 metres, with a driving range, putting and pitching green.

Etna, the highest active volcano of the Eurasian Plate, offers visitors an incredible lunar landscape, constantly changing, and absolutely exciting. We will take you with expert local guides on its summit, from which you can admire in the distance on clear days even the Aeolian Islands and the Island of Malta.

And then Syracuse, one of the most important cities of Magna Grecia, with its rich architecture of every age thanks to the passage of many peoples over the centuries.
