Prosecco DOCG. Discover it with the Italy4golf Experiences

Prosecco is today an internationally famous brand. A wine rightly appreciated all over the world for the surprising versatility that makes it easy to match with a multitude of dishes as a great choice for every occasion. Its aromatic and delicate taste also makes it a widely accessible wine, while remaining a wine that is anything but obvious.

A fresh and elegant wine, made for the most part with Glera grape, perfect to be consumed throughout the meal, starting from the aperitif. Prosecco is a fruity and floral wine that prefers combinations with foods of non-invasive cooking, able to enhance the aromas of the wine, without dominating its taste.

A pioneer of Italian Sparkling Wine, Antonio Carpenè started the production of Prosecco by transforming a local wine, until 1873 produced only by the farmers of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene (province of Treviso, Veneto) for their own use and consumption and with household and empirical methods, in a wine of international fame made for the first time with scientific methods.

When we talk about Prosecco, but also more generally about bubbles, we often refer to a bottle of Prosecco di Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG. These lands, where the king of Prosecco in its most excellent varieties is made, are a trove of natural, artistic and architectural treasures to discover. A territory that still lives on a human scale and in deep connection with the rhythms of nature.

Along the Prosecco Road, inaugurated in 1996, which winds for about fifty kilometers between vineyards planted at altitudes between 50 and 500 meters, there are gentle slopes and small peculiar environmental subsystems that allow the Glera to give results unthinkable in other areas, in which it loses all its aromatic freshness.

A hilly area dominated by centuries-old vines skillfully cared for by loving expert hands that in addition to this excellent and renowned wine can give landscapes of extraordinary beauty, in which the colors and flavors born from the attachment to traditions cross the pleasure of hospitality, typical of this sincere and humble population.

Italy4golf in its proposal for golfing holidays aimed at the public of international golfers will soon include golf tourism solutions rich in extra activities in Veneto, an Italian region that is not second to none for quality of life, cultural heritage, food and wine excellences, beautiful landscapes and, of course, top-class golf clubs!
