Sean was in Italy
… and it’s been a special holyday!
Make yourself comfortable in an armchair, this is a short novel that requests to be tasted, more than read.
You’re on the way to taste the recipe of the real and unique golf trip; the ingredients list is simple, but the composition of this special dish of sport and wellness will leave youself pleasured and stupified.
Choose three golf courses of premium level: one built in third millennium, one coming from the past and the last as the most searched on Google.
Pour a high level Franciacorta sparkling and an emergent in Valtènesi wines (from hills around Lake Garda). Seek for four restaurants, each specialised in different ways to approach high cuisine, and at least book a resort to rest.
Seek through your fellows trolleypushers who’s the most entitled to manage all those God’s benefits and you’ll obtain: Famtrip with Sean.
To prepare this gourmand meal, I’ll start from the last row of the recipe, the guys of Italy4Golf – Alberto Genovesi and Mario Taglietti– and their supersportaddicted guest, Sean Coyle – founder&chief of Southport Coast Championship and Italy4Golf Ambassador in UK.
Roberto Van Heugten, Francesca Taglietti for social media and Alessandro Mauri involved at storytelling and photo/video sessions, they’ve realised on practice one of the golf-travels included in the Italy4Golf best experiences catalogue, astonishing and with an optimum money for value.
We’re talking about a tour of about a week, with more stops at cultural and wine&cuisine discoverings, treasures of which Lake Garda and Iseo are incredible rich. During the tour, the program provides also a visit in the city center of Verona, main town in the district about culture and traditions – remember that also Brescia and Mantua don’t joke and are to be considered for a valuable variation in the program.
To start our route, Italy4Golf has planned the golf shopping, booking 18 holes greenfees at Chervò San Vigilio, Franciacorta GC e Garda Golf CC.
Closing in a magnificent hug the whole south shore of Lake Garda, stretching a hand to Iseo and Franciacorta, the group has launched the challenge to the best golf courses of the district, all of them are included in high positions in the italian best-of published by Leadingcourses.
In this way, the monday saw our proud golfers involved to “fight” against the wide fairways of Chervo San Vigilio, while tuesday and wednesday were spent into the shadowing high tree woods and around ponds of Franciacorta and Gardagolf.
In the first golf, in fact well known for the wideness of the 4 courses and for the design thought for fun and speed of the game but actually not so easy as somebody could imagine, players and the Italy4golf’s staff have made an afternoon on “warmup” with a rich exchange of knowledges and informations regarding the respective activities.
The second day was quiet more challenging, as the technical capacities were strongly pushed under pressure by the 18 holes of Franciacorta’s Brut and Rosé, where you are not permitted to distractions except for admire colors and dive into unique sceneries of a spectacular golf course.
Wednesday saw a dream come true.
Starting from the first teeshot on the red course in Gardagolf – where 2018’s Italia Open held – to arrive at last putt on the white course, the morenic amphiteater, the sky, the gentle breeze and a course prepared for tournament have deliced players greetings their game, which has become more fun and more performing.
An applause must be given to the welcome received at each golf club, maybe the sign that proposals of Italy4Golf, finally reborn after the long pandemic stop, are now ready to move people from abroad coming to enjoy our wonderful golf land.
A very good begin, really!
But so many efforts request rest and sustain! So, let’s go with the restaurants chapter, cornerstone of the Italy4Golf program. This section is planned in collaboration with mrs. Patrizia Marazzi, sommelier, Wset3 and tourist guide. Deep knower of the Lake Garda district, Patrizia loves slow tourism, and playing the role of Local Wine Guide is pleasant to offer experiences at a low stress for wine lovers, people that are happy to seat in front of the glass with friends, and the same time ask to explore the land gentle walking, having the right time to know every details of the environment.
The first dinner has been dedicated to the traditional recipes of Lombardy, based on meat and cheeses, each of them prepared according to selected recipes. In the restaurant “L’Acino” we were welcome by peace and freshness of a spring evening fully lighted by moon and rounded by olive trees and vineyards. Fantastic location, close to Chervo San Vigilio – reachable by walk – and in the view of San Martino tower, historical heritage dating in the independence war against austrian empire.
The restaurant has been confirmed as part of this proposal of golf holyday to be presented to customers.
and it’s not over here …
