At its eleventh edition, the event that attracts the leading experts in the sector every year as well as thousands of enthusiasts, this year doubles, with the weekends of 12-13 and 19-20 September.

An unmissable event that in recent years has greatly contributed to promoting Brescia’s sparkling wines on the international wine scene and which is increasingly successful thanks to the excellent cooperation of operators and the quality of the products of wineries, restaurants and local producers.

An event of great appeal that guarantees great satisfaction also thanks to the varied and combined proposal of many initiatives of art, culture, sport, wellness and much more, activities that should not be defined as “parallel”, because rather they intersect with wine and its history, allowing visitors to immerse completely in the beauties of Franciacorta during its most representative period: that of the grape harvest.

Certainly, Franciacorta today is one of the most accredited destinations among international wine tourists and this is due to the goodness of its sparkling wines produced with the Classic Method, which lately have distinguished themselves internationally, competing with the most famous champagnes. Moreover, today 65% ​​of the Franciacorta vineyards are organically run, a growing number which places this Denomination among the first in the world for organic share and which also testifies to the will of the producers to preserve the territory.

But, in fact, Franciacorta is also a territory rich in history and traditions: in addition to vineyards, in every municipality and hamlet visitors can find splendid castles, abbeys perched on gentle hills, frescoed and well-preserved noble villas, suggestive medieval villages… More, and thanks to the wine-growing vocation and tourism that has resulted from it, many public and private initiatives have recently been born: luxurious hotels, farmhouses devoted to slow-tourism, starred restaurants, as well as routes dedicated to lovers of cycling, nature, culture and much more.

This eleventh edition of the Franciacorta Festival will thus also be an opportunity to visit the prestigious wineries and taste their excellences, as well as to wander among the many locations that organize guided tours, activities, events and themed menus. Finally, do not miss the tasting at the Wine Store in Erbusco, the shop that offers the widest assortment of Franciacorta wines at cellar prices, of 60 “Dosaggi Zero” (15 for each of the days of the Festival): wines in which no addition from outside is added to the original product, which thus maintains the same initial aroma and has an almost zero sugar residue. In other words, the highest expression of Franciacorta wine production.
